The South and East Iowa Elite League is comprised of friends that love Stratomatic baseball. It started with 3 players and we have had 11 different franchises play, with 7 being the most ever in one event. The seasons are numbered like UFC because we play whenever we can get together.
The season begins with a draft where each team has 9 players including a DH to go along with 3 starters and 4 relievers.We normally draft from 2 more MLB teams than franchises present. Everyone rolls every dice we have and the highest role gets frist choice of team and so on. You pick three players from that team prior to the draft. A lottery with each team getting a chance for every loss they had in the previous season.
The season is six games long. You can use your starters in any order but no starter can go more than twice in a season. Everyone makes the single-elimination playoffs and starters cannot go more than once in the playoffs. We use advanced side of the card but basic beyond that.
